Job description

The territory for this region includes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio.

The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) builds and manages strategic relationships with a select group of U.S. external experts within assigned therapeutic areasacross specialty groupsto generatetimely, actionable insights that inform brand strategy. The TLL plans and coordinatesinsight generation,through ongoing interactions with external experts,congressesand executiveengagements, working closely with commercial, medical, and regulatory partners whilemaintainingexecutive presence and strict adherence to compliance requirements. Hepatology TLLs will play a critical role in the launch of hepatology drugs, developing expertise in quantitative HBsAg testing to identify target patients and accelerate adoption of a functional cure paradigm in Hepatitis B across their geographies. Sevengeographies will cover the UnitedStates,each aligned with key regions across the country.

Key Responsibilities

External ExpertEngagement & Relationship Management

  • Develop andmaintainstrategic relationshipswith assigned External Experts through meaningful, valuedriven interactions.

  • Plan and execute compliantExternalExpertengagements aligned to brand priorities andExternal Expertneedsoutside of advisory and congress events, planning andmaintaininga consistent level of execution as aligned with TLL Director. This includes a mix of live and virtual engagements in your geography.

  • Segment and manage a thought leader network to optimize engagement and insight generation.

Insight Generation & Strategic Impact

  • Compliantly elicit,document, andsynthesize clinical, competitive, and strategic insightsfrom External Expertsin combination with existing insights and qualitative and quantitative data available from Insights and Analytics.

  • Share insights with marketingsenior leadership to inform brand strategy, resource allocation, andtacticdevelopment.

  • Seek compliant External Expert feedback on initiatives and materials.

Advisory, Peer to Peer& Congress Engagements

  • Plan and execute External Expert consulting engagements and advisory boards.

  • Coordinate and support External Expert executive interactions with commercial leadership.

  • Enable peer-to-peer education through speaker recommendations, development,training/operationssupport, and relationship management.

  • Leadsponsorshipinitiatives at Tier 1 congresses and serve asonsitehost for product theaterspeakers and EE guests.

CrossFunctional & Operational Excellence

  • Partner effectively withmedical, legal, compliance, regulatory, and marketingteams.

  • Apply strong project management skills to manage multiple prioritiessimultaneously

  • Manage agency and vendor partners to ensuretimely, highquality execution.

  • Understandrisk associated with the activities on Strategic Engagement andbe adept and agile in their management and mitigation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Minimum10 years of experiencein field sales, product marketing, or medical/clinical roles within pharma or biotech.

  • SpecialtyHepatology/GIexperiencerequiredin one of the above functions

  • Experience presenting to executive audiences (live and virtual) and influencing strategic decisions orstakeholderalignment.

  • Experience leveraging insights to guide strategy development and proactively refine approach in response to evolving data and market dynamics.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Willingness to travel60-80%,including nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.

  • Strong account management and crossfunctional leadership experience.

  • Marketing and/or sales management background.

  • Advanced project management and organizational skills.

  • Proven adherence to regulatory and compliancestandardswith proactive risk identification and mitigation.

The US annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $138,750 to $231,250. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
