Job description

Job Description Summary
The Area Service Leader (ASL) will oversee the service operations within a designated geographic area, ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and support for biomedical equipment within partnering customer sites. This role involves managing a team of Biomedical Technicians, coordinating service activities, and maintaining strong relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction and the optimal performance of equipment.
The ASL will lead a team of biomedical technicians who support customer locations across the region covering parts of the Tampa Metro and surrounding area. The preferred candidate will be required to reside in the service area.
This is a remote role that requires the successful candidate to travel locally to customer sites 2-3 days a week or as business dictates.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Act as the single point of contact to the customer for timely and satisfactory resolution of concerns covering a wide variety of support services offered for assigned region, product, or coverage area
  • Responsible for knowledge of assigned region, coverage area, or product lines, their associated configuration installations, and represents the most direct access to all appropriate internal functions to support the customer
  • Establish and maintain contact to provide on-going technical and business support to assigned customers in designated geographic region or coverage area
  • A job at this level requires a people leader with ability to hire and develop talent. Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
  • Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
  • The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum 4 years of experience in the medical services industry;
  • OR military education program (equivalent) and a minimum 4 years of experience in the medical services industry; OR an Associate's degree and a minimum 6 years of experience in the medical services industry; OR a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 10 years of experience in the medical services industry.
  • Leadership experience that includes leading technical teams.
  • Previous experience servicing biomedical equipment or leading biomedical teams.
  • Ability to work from home in a dedicated office space, free from distraction with a high-speed internet connection.
