This full-time, remote position allows you to make a difference in the lives of children and families across Colorado, providing essential therapeutic services directly within their homes. We are particularly interested in candidates who are bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese, as the need for cultural and linguistic accessibility is paramount in our work.

About the Organization

Blissful Being Therapy Center, located in Thornton, Colorado, is committed to delivering comprehensive youth and family support services. You will operate within a supportive team atmosphere, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while focusing on the needs of our client population. Regular team meetings will ensure that communication remains open and collaborative as we strive to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-home individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the needs of children and their families within our outpatient framework.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions that address anger management, coping strategies, and social skills to mitigate high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and aggression.
  • Guide youth and their caregivers in enhancing decision-making skills, aimed at effectively managing behavioral challenges within the home environment.
  • Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to each client's care.
  • Document treatment interventions thoroughly, ensuring that all required paperworkโ€”such as intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notesโ€”is submitted promptly.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings to review case outcomes, provide input, and recommend adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with children aged 3 to 20 years who present with various developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Your role will be essential in addressing the unique emotional and behavioral needs of these children, creating a supportive environment that promotes healing and growth.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a Master's Degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • A valid and unrestricted LMFT license is required.
  • Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week is expected during after-school hours, particularly between 4 PM and 7 PM, with potential weekend hours being a plus.
  • Proficient in providing positive behavior support techniques is essential.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle are required for home visitations.
  • Candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with children aged 3-20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is highly desirable.
  • Experience providing services in home settings or community health environments is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Blissful Being Therapy Center offers a competitive compensation package that includes:

  • A dynamic and supportive work environment.
  • Comprehensive group health insurance coverage.
  • Annual paid time off to promote work-life balance.
  • Short and long-term disability coverage.
  • A 401K retirement savings plan to support your future financial goals.
  • Ongoing job training and opportunities for professional growth within an engaging and innovative setting.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Blissful Being Therapy Center, we are committed to the professional development of our staff. As a member of our team, you will have access to continuous training and opportunities to expand your skill set in therapeutic practices. We encourage participation in workshops, conferences, and additional certification programs that align with your career aspirations.
