Communications Strategy Group (CSGยฎ), an intent marketing agency based in Denver, Colorado, is seeking PR associate candidates to support the media relations and influencer engagement activities of clients across industry practices including education, health & wellness, consumer, aerospace and renewable energy.ย

Roles and Responsibilities

Public relations associates at CSG are detail-oriented professionals with top notch communication and collaboration skills. They support PR-related activities for select clients in coordination with CSGโ€™s account team.

To be successful, youโ€™ll need to face each day with a willingness to jump feet first into whatever comes across your path. Whether youโ€™re crafting compelling story angles and pitching media, coordinating high-profile interviews for client spokespeople or immersing yourself in the latest and greatest media relations strategies, youโ€™ll be a critical part of our commitment to purposeful solutions that solve our clientsโ€™ business problems.

Public Relations Associates:

  • Serve as day-to-day PR support for multiple clients, responsible for developing creative story angles and securing coverage for local, national and trade media
  • Conduct media relations activities including: researching and building media lists, drafting pitches, executing media backgrounders, and coordinating interviews
  • Immerse themselves in the industries, clients and target audiences we work with to support senior team members in creating strategic plans that meet business objectives and capitalize on opportunities, including keeping up with relevant industry mediaย 
  • Contribute to the ideation and development of media relations strategies, approaches and activities in support of client goals
  • Write press releases for clientsย 
  • Manage the tracking and reporting on ROI for clients based on specific client goals/objectives (e.g., media placements or paid digital engagements)ย 

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in PR/media relations or strategic communications; agency experience preferred
  • Previous experience working in the education, healthcare or consumer space a plusย 
  • Experience writing pitch angles for the media and creating media listsย 
  • Willingness to work across various industries as neededย 
  • Ability to work confidently and independently in a fast-paced environment with an understanding of how to delegate and manage up as needed
  • Accountability and a confident presence with keen problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective presentation skills, particularly related to communications plans (skills related to concepts and digital approaches is a plus)
  • Experience working with AI platforms (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) in a business setting; an understanding of more advanced concepts like skill development, MCPs, etc., a plus
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; experience working in a project management system (e.g., Asana, Basecamp, WorkFront, etc.) a plus ย 
  • A passion for finding creative solutions for clientsโ€™ problems, requests and opportunitiesย 
  • Curiosity to learn and stay on top of industry and client vertical trends and best practicesย
