Posting Title: Estimator IV - Modular - Data Center                    
Reports To: Director, Project Management
Location: Remote | Edgerton, WI | Greater San Francisco Bay Area | Salt Lake City, UT | Houston, TX|                                                
Salary Range: $120,000 to $150,000

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. THE ESTIMATING TEAM
|Estimating is an essential part of CEI’s sales engine, ensuring that projects are priced properly throughout the bid process. The Estimating group serves a vital role in CEI’s PM, teaching estimating skills to future and newly hired project management team members.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Estimator IV supports the project management team achieve its goals by delivering high quality estimates on time. The Estimator IV is in charge of developing and completing project specific estimates based on written and/or oral discretion from project managers.

  • Supervise, direct and manage estimating team to timely and accurate completion of electrical estimates.
  • Estimating takeoffs on projects.
  • Provide leadership and training to develop skills of estimators, estimator trainees and other on the estimating team.
  • Conduct estimating system training for all estimators, project managers and others as necessary.
  • Create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work.
  • May create, maintain and upgrade the company estimating system, database (units and prices) and assemblies.
  • Communicate and partner with project managers and general contractors to ensure a high quality estimate is delivered on time.
  • Manage quotation process with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that pricing incorporates all scope items.

You bring over seven years of experience in electrical estimating. Your skillset includes proven verbal and written communication skills, and you have an eye for detail ensuring accuracy in the work that you do. You are a collaborative team player; willing to help others, your team, and the organization reach its goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. BA/BS preferred. 

Licensure/Certifications: None required. 

Experience: Seven (7) years of experience required of electrical estimating experience in commercial/industrial/high tech industry. 5 years’ experience with a design/build contractor.
