Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere while engaging with clients via secure teletherapy platforms. Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday with flexible hours to accommodate your personal commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of patients during video-based teletherapy sessions, ensuring a thorough understanding of their mental health needs.
  • Perform comprehensive mental health evaluations, compiling pertinent health histories and examining mental status to inform treatment plans.
  • Develop, implement, and periodically evaluate individualized behavioral health treatment plans, based on evidence-based practices and assessment results.
  • Provide therapeutic support to patients using a variety of interventions tailored to their specific needs, ensuring treatment aligns with the latest research and practices in mental health care.
  • Maintain accurate and secure records of patient information, including examination results and treatment progress, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations.
  • Actively participate in continuing education to enhance your practice and keep up-to-date with advancements in mental health and therapeutic interventions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a wide range of patients, from individuals experiencing anxiety and depression to those facing more complex mental health issues. Your understanding of cultural competence and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations will be critical in fostering a supportive and understanding therapeutic environment. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is highly valued as it enables you to extend your support to a broader range of clients.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), or Art Therapy.
  • Possession of a current and valid Maryland license, such as LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills essential for effective therapy and collaboration.
  • An eagerness to engage in continuous education and stay informed on evidence-based psychosocial interventions and tools.
  • Experience utilizing electronic health records (EHR) and other clinical systems to manage patient data.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of relevant experience working in a mental health capacity.
