As a remote member of our team, you will operate within a supportive outpatient counseling setting. You will have the flexibility to manage your schedule while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists, to provide well-rounded care. In your role as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting initial assessments and comprehensive clinical evaluations to develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' needs.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring each session aligns with therapeutic best practices.
• Employing a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques to facilitate client progress.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, adhering strictly to ethical standards and legal requirements.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care, including regular participation in team meetings and case consultations.
• Staying informed about the latest advancements and research in mental health therapy, actively partaking in professional development opportunities and workshops.

This role will involve working with a diverse client base, which may include individuals struggling with a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship challenges. You will be tasked with ensuring an inclusive environment that respects each client’s unique background and therapeutic needs.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field, along with active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct counseling services, ideally within a clinical mental health setting.
• Demonstrated understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations relevant to counseling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in building therapeutic relationships with clients from a variety of backgrounds.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and related software applications.

While not mandated, candidates with specialized experience in trauma-informed care, substance use disorders, family therapy, or couples counseling are highly desirable. Your expertise in these areas will enrich our service offerings and enhance client outcomes.

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, based on your caseload and experience.
