Bechtel, a construction and engineering company, considers applicants with criminal histories on a case-by-case basis and does not have a blanket policy against hiring felons. Factors such as the nature of the offense, time elapsed, and job requirements are typically evaluated during the hiring process. Candidates should disclose criminal history honestly and be prepared to demonstrate rehabilitation if applicable.

What is the Bechtel controversy?
