Job Title: Director, Paid Social (Contract – Maternity Leave Coverage)

Location: Remote (U.S.) Hours: Full-Time (40 hrs/week) Duration: August 31, 2026 – January 11, 2027 Compensation: $61–72/hr W2 Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) during the contract period Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. No sponsorship available.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Director, Paid Social to provide maternity leave coverage while leading Paid Social strategy for two globally recognized beauty brands. This role serves as the primary client-facing lead, overseeing campaign strategy, performance, budget management, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple international markets.

The ideal candidate has a strong agency background, extensive experience managing enterprise eCommerce or retail brands, and is comfortable both leading client conversations and working hands-on within advertising platforms to review, QA, troubleshoot, and optimize campaign execution.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Paid Social lead and day-to-day client contact for two enterprise beauty brands.
  • Own client communication, strategic recommendations, campaign reviews, and executive presentations.
  • Oversee Paid Social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and Reddit in multiple global markets.
  • Review campaign performance, pacing, budgets, and ROAS while providing actionable optimization recommendations.
  • QA campaign execution within advertising platforms and troubleshoot implementation issues (campaign build execution performed by specialists).
  • Partner closely with Paid Search and other cross-functional teams to align media strategy and shift budgets based on performance.
  • Lead weekly client meetings and maintain strong relationships with highly engaged stakeholders.
  • Delegate work and mentor Paid Social Specialists and Strategists while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Translate reporting and analytics into strategic business insights and recommendations.
  • Support major retail events including Black Friday/Cyber Monday and Sephora promotional periods, including limited shared weekend performance monitoring.

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years of Paid Social experience, preferably within a digital marketing agency.
  • Proven experience managing enterprise eCommerce or retail clients.
  • Deep expertise with:
    • Meta Ads Manager
    • TikTok Ads Manager
    • Pinterest Ads
    • Reddit Ads (preferred)
  • Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing monthly Paid Social budgets of approximately $100K–$200K .
  • Comfortable reviewing, QAing, and troubleshooting campaigns directly within ad platforms.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn campaign reporting into strategic recommendations.
  • Experience leading and mentoring junior team members.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GA4.
  • Familiarity with Rockerbox attribution reporting.
  • Experience supporting global Paid Social campaigns.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Paid Search teams on integrated media strategies.
