Location: US Remote candidates residing within the Southwest region are strongly preferred, with preference given to those located in the Denver, CO or Phoenix, AZ metropolitan areas 

Salary Range: $ 123,000.00 to $ 154,000.00

Position Summary

Industry Specialists are regionally located, customer-facing technical resources who partner with Territory Managers and Authorized Distributors to accelerate profitable growth. They provide best-in-class, hands-on application and reliability support to end-user customers while identifying, shaping, and converting new business opportunities through consultative selling and technical pull-through. This role supports SKF bearings, seals, services, and related offerings, primarily within defined industries and geographies.

U.S. Remote candidates residing within the Southwest region are strongly preferred, with preference given to those located in the Denver, CO or Phoenix, AZ metropolitan areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain SKF preference and brand loyalty through value-based technical support
  • Develop trusted relationships with end-users and Authorized Distributors to uncover needs and influence specifications
  • Provide product installation assistance, troubleshooting, and on-site failure analysis
  • Maintain strong knowledge of customer manufacturing processes to provide consultative technical support
  • Deliver internal and external training for end-users and Authorized Distributors
  • Support Territory Managers by mapping bearings, seals, and services to identify growth opportunities
  • Partner with Territory Managers to execute territory growth plans and advance qualified pipelines
  • Introduce new product launches to end-user customers
  • Support projects that create cost savings for key end-users and distributors
  • Enable Authorized Distributors through joint calls, training, and application support
  • Provide bearing and sealing recommendations as part of application reviews
  • Support the full SKF product and service portfolio

Customer / Stakeholder Engagement

Frequent interaction with end-user customers and Authorized Distributors. Acts as a technical escalation resource supporting sales teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Works closely with Territory Managers, Distributor Sales teams, Product Management, and Engineering.

Operational Excellence

Supports process improvement, opportunity pipeline advancement, and technical validation to drive profitable growth.

Strategic Communication

Documents technical actions, supports opportunity reviews, and communicates findings to sales leadership and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Education: BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Experience: 10+ years in application engineering, technical project work, or maintenance engineering
  • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, manufacturing process knowledge, CRM proficiency
  • Other Requirements: Strategic thinking, condition monitoring and maintenance strategy knowledge, strong communication skills

Travel Requirements

Approximately 80% travel, primarily within assigned geography
