Associate Account Executive, Builder Finance

Job description

About the Company

Urrly is hiring on behalf of an established real estate finance and technology company that has raised more than $100 million to help address one of the country's biggest challenges: the housing shortage. The company is building the financial infrastructure that gives local and regional homebuilders access to institutional capital at scale, helping them finance more projects and bring more homes to the communities that need them.

This is a growing builder-finance business, and the sales playbook is still being sharpened. This hire will have room to influence how the team identifies, qualifies, and wins the right builder relationships.

About the Role

This is an opportunity for a high-performing SDR, BDR, junior originator, or early-career Account Executive to step into an AE path with real ownership. You will initially focus on pipeline creation, discovery, and qualification, then earn broader responsibility across solution development, deal execution, and full-cycle closing.

The role is based in New York City, and the team is prioritizing candidates who can work in the office. Truly exceptional candidates outside New York who bring direct homebuilder finance, residential transition lending, or closely comparable domain experience are also strongly encouraged to apply. Remote candidates will be considered when their experience aligns exceptionally well with the role's required and preferred qualifications.

ResponsibilitiesPipeline Creation and Market Development
  • Build targeted outbound pipeline among local and regional residential builders and developers.
  • Research prospective borrowers, active projects, markets, and likely capital needs before outreach.
  • Maintain disciplined CRM data, follow-up, and funnel visibility so activity converts into learning and repeatable production.
Discovery and Deal Qualification
  • Run sharp initial conversations that uncover project type, financing timing, current lender setup, and the builder's real constraint.
  • Form and test useful hypotheses about friction in a builder's current capital approach instead of defaulting to a product pitch.
  • Qualify opportunities based on borrower fit, project economics, timing, and the likelihood of a productive next step.
Deal Execution and Growth
  • Coordinate with senior sales, credit, capital markets, and operating partners to move qualified opportunities forward.
  • Learn the mechanics of ground-up construction lending and use that knowledge to make outreach and discovery more credible.
  • Progress toward owning more of the sales cycle, including solution development, proposal follow-through, negotiation, and close.
  • Help improve messaging, segmentation, objection handling, and the emerging go-to-market playbook.
Qualifications
  • At least one year of success in a quota-carrying or revenue-generating B2B sales role.
  • Meaningful experience creating pipeline through outbound prospecting, not only working inbound leads or managing existing accounts.
  • Ability to ask thoughtful discovery questions, qualify without overselling, and communicate clearly with business owners and finance-oriented customers.
  • Strong operating cadence across research, outreach, follow-up, CRM hygiene, and activity-to-outcome measurement.
  • Motivation to learn a more technical product and earn full-cycle closing responsibility.
Required Skills
  • Current authorization to work in the United States.
  • Comfort starting with substantial outbound, discovery, and qualification work before expanding into closing.
  • Ability to work in the New York City office, unless exceptional direct domain experience supports remote consideration.
  • Alignment with a $90,000 to $120,000 base salary and an expected total cash opportunity of approximately $110,000 to $170,000, depending on performance.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in residential transition lending, homebuilder finance, business-purpose lending, private lending, construction lending, bridge lending, DSCR, or another complex capital-related sale.
  • Experience selling financing, capital, or advisory solutions to builders, developers, real estate investors, or other owner-operators.
  • Evidence of strong performance such as quota attainment, peer ranking, awards, promotion, production growth, or unusually fast increases in responsibility.
  • Exposure to ground-up residential construction lending or adjacent private-credit products.
Pay Range and Compensation Package
  • Base salary: $90,000 to $120,000.
  • Expected total cash opportunity: approximately $110,000 to $170,000, depending on performance.
  • Company-paid medical, dental, vision, and wellness benefits for employees and dependents.
  • Flexible vacation and sick days.
  • Paid parental leave.
