This is a fully remote position based in Riverhead, New York. You will work from the comfort of your home, utilizing our secure telehealth technology to conduct therapy sessions, assessments, and follow-ups. • Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health concerns, strengths, and needs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their well-being.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with client goals, utilizing a mix of established therapeutic techniques and innovative practices.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.
• Regularly monitor and document clients’ therapeutic progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to maximize efficacy and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to coordinate holistic care and ensure seamless communication regarding client health.
• Advocate for clients’ rights and access to appropriate mental health services and community resources, actively promoting their needs and welfare.
• Adhere to ethical standards as outlined by state licensing boards and professional organizations, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions.

You will primarily work with adults facing a variety of mental health challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma. This diverse client base allows for the exploration of a range of therapeutic interventions designed to facilitate healing and personal growth.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York is essential for this position.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, particularly in the treatment of mood disorders, is preferred.
• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, including CBT and DBT, is necessary to provide effective services.
• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to foster productive collaboration with psychiatrists and primary care providers is a plus.
• Demonstrated capability in delivering successful therapeutic outcomes for clients is an important qualification for this position.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential; the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds is crucial for effective therapy.

Experience specifically in treating mood disorders through telehealth platforms is highly desirable, as is familiarity with the latest advances in digital mental health technology.
