Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose and evaluate patients' mental health statuses and treatment effectiveness using tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).
• Create individualized care plans that are culturally sensitive and aligned with the patient population's unique needs.
• Continuously monitor patient progress and employ interventions tailored to support their mental health diagnosis.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of treatment records and clinical information, utilizing current technology to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaboratively develop and revise comprehensive treatment plans with patients, addressing all aspects of their care and setting specific, measurable objectives.
• Serve as a key liaison between patients and external treatment providers, coordinating referrals and establishing strong relationships with other clinicians.
• Provide mentorship and education to students, interns, and newer team members, promoting a culture of learning and professional growth.
• Engage in peer reviews, clinical collaboration, and chart audits under the guidance of your clinical supervisor to enhance team performance and efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clinician will focus predominantly on individuals and families impacted by cancer diagnosis, working diligently to provide emotional support and therapeutic intervention. This role is pivotal in addressing the complex mental health challenges that arise in this context, fostering resilience and coping strategies to aid patient recoveries and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with outpatient therapy and understanding of oncology-related mental health issues is highly preferred.
• Previous work in a multidisciplinary team setting and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is between USD 90,000 and 105,000 annually. Emory Mental Health and Psychological Center offers a competitive benefits package, including:
