This role is responsible for developing, supporting, and optimizing internal reporting and data solutions, with a strong focus on SQL, .NET, back-end databases, Microsoft Fabric, and data modeling. The position partners closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, build technical solutions, troubleshoot issues, manage testing and deployments, and deliver actionable insights that improve business performance.

Responsibilities

Provide application development and ongoing support for internal reporting and data solutions.
Analyze data sources and aggregation tables, and explore optimization techniques within Microsoft Fabric to improve performance.
Analyze, design, develop, and maintain systems and subsystems related to back-end databases.
Develop and maintain data models, advanced SQL queries, and stored procedures; create or enhance reports and dashboards as needed.
Work closely with business partners and stakeholders to gather and document business and functional requirements, translating them into technical specifications and working solutions.
Ensure proper documentation and adherence to established development standards; identify opportunities to leverage existing or new technologies to improve processes.
Coordinate and support testing activities, including the development of test cases and the scheduling of test events with IT staff and business users for system changes and releases.
Independently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues with minimal supervision.
Proactively identify opportunities to apply technical solutions that improve business processes and drive efficiency, cost savings, or revenue opportunities.
Develop and implement deployment plans for promoting application code through development, testing, and production environments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
3+ years of professional software development experience required.
2+ years of SQL development experience required.
2+ years of .NET development experience required.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure environments preferred.
Experience with SSIS preferred.
Python experience highly preferred.
Experience working within Agile software development methodologies.
Highly motivated and self-directed, with strong execution and follow-up skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explore beyond initial data requests to deliver actionable insights.
Detail-oriented with the ability to understand the broader impact of projects and tasks.
Ability to expand on initial requirements to provide meaningful data, analysis, and context for decision-making.
Ability to validate and verify the accuracy of their own work as well as the work of others.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, job-related knowledge and market considerations. This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on business results and individual performance.
