Job description

Location: Remote (United States)

Work Model: Remote

Industry: Fintech (business banking and corporate cards)

Compensation: $90K-$100K base, $160K OTE (uncapped commission)

About the Company

Our partner is a well-established fintech offering business banking and corporate card products built for high-growth startups. The company is in a hyper-growth phase, recently exceeded its sales goals every month last year, and just posted its biggest quarter ever. The sales culture is built for self-starters who thrive in ambiguity, build their own playbook, and love being out in the startup community rather than stuck on back-to-back video calls.

The Opportunity

This is a relationship-driven Senior Account Executive role, not a traditional SaaS sales seat. You will drive new client acquisition primarily through in-person networking, building relationships with founders, investors, and operators at dinners, events, and community gatherings. Deals come from warm relationships and referrals rather than cold sequences, and you will own the full arc from relationship to close, working closely with implementation and account management teams on onboarding.

Compensation is uncapped and tracks across multiple quarters, so strong, competitive performers can earn substantial upside quickly.

Responsibilities
  • Drive new client acquisition through in-person networking with founders, investors, and operators
  • Build relationships across VCs, accelerators, and founder communities to generate warm referrals
  • Deliver presentations and demos that speak the language of founders and financiers
  • Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within existing client relationships
  • Own deals through close, partnering with implementation and client services on onboarding
  • Share market and competitive intelligence to inform go-to-market strategy
Requirements
  • Around 3 years of relevant experience (sweet spot)
  • A background that lets you credibly speak the language of founders and investors, such as tech investing, VC, founding a company, investment banking, or the broader startup ecosystem
  • Coachability and adaptability to a non-traditional, relationship-led sales motion
  • Hustle, grit, and a money-motivated mindset, with comfort attending frequent evening networking events
  • Ability to thrive in a high-ambiguity, fast-changing environment
  • Bonus: top-school credentials or a venture fellow background
