• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients’ mood disorders, assessing the intensity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans that are aligned with their specific needs and therapeutic goals.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective treatment.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and practical self-care strategies to promote mental wellness.
• Continuously monitor and document client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on observed outcomes.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.
• Stay updated on current research regarding mood disorders to enhance treatment approaches and patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in adherence to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities.
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs within the community, working to reduce stigma and ensure access to care.

The clients you will serve include individuals dealing with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, along with various vulnerable populations including the homeless, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your role will involve providing empathetic, client-centered therapy that supports these individuals on their path to recovery and resilience.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Proven ability to establish a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrable empathy and a nonjudgmental approach towards clients' diverse backgrounds and experiences.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively handle administrative tasks and manage case loads.

• Previous experience working with clients who face mood disorders, trauma, or other mental health issues is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems available for individuals struggling with mental health challenges.
• Experience in conducting group therapy sessions and workshops is a plus.

• The salary range for this position is USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
