Job description

About Ditto:
Ditto is redefining how data moves at the edge. Our mission is to make it seamless for developers to build resilient, real-time applications, regardless of network conditions. Whether you're in a stadium, airplane, or remote military base, Ditto's peer-to-peer sync engine ensures devices stay connected and data stays consistent, even without internet. With more than $145 million in funding and trusted by organizations like Chick-fil-A, Delta Airlines, and the U.S. military, Ditto powers mission-critical experiences across aviation, retail, travel, hospitality, defense, and more. As a globally distributed, fast-growing startup, we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the wide range of perspectives needed to solve the world's hardest connectivity problems.
The Opportunity
As VP of Marketing, you will be Ditto's most senior marketing leader - owning the strategy, the story, and the execution. This is a true builder role: you will design and hire your marketing team from the ground up, establish the processes and infrastructure needed to scale, and partner closely with Sales, Product, and Executive leadership to drive pipeline and brand awareness. If you thrive in a high-growth environment and love turning a blank canvas into a world-class marketing engine, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and own Ditto's overall marketing strategy, brand positioning, and go-to-market approach.
  • Build, hire, and mentor a high-performing marketing team across demand generation, content, product marketing, communications, and design.
  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to company-wide strategy and planning.
  • Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks, and a culture of data-driven decision-making across the marketing org.

Demand Generation & Pipeline
  • Develop and execute multi-channel campaigns (digital, events, content, ABM, and partner marketing) to drive qualified pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to align on ICP, messaging, and funnel performance.
  • Own and optimize the full marketing tech stack and budget.

Brand & Communications
  • Lead brand strategy and ensure consistent, compelling messaging across all channels and audiences.
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives, PR, and executive visibility programs that position Ditto as an industry leader.
  • Oversee content strategy including blog, case studies, white papers, webinars, and social media.

AI & Innovation
  • Champion the use of AI-powered tools and platforms across the marketing function - from content creation and personalization to campaign optimization and competitive intelligence.
  • Stay ahead of AI-driven marketing trends and embed new capabilities into team workflows to maximize efficiency and output.

Public Sector (Bonus)
  • Where applicable, develop targeted marketing strategies for government, federal, state, and local agency audiences.
  • Understand the unique procurement cycles, compliance considerations, and messaging requirements of public sector buyers.
  • Build relationships with public sector partners, resellers, and ecosystem influencers.
What You Bring
Required
  • 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of building marketing teams from scratch - hiring, developing, and retaining top talent.
  • Deep expertise in demand generation, pipeline marketing, and revenue attribution.
  • Strong background in AI tools and their application to modern marketing operations.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence at the executive and board level.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment.
  • Data-driven mindset with hands-on experience in marketing analytics and performance measurement.

Preferred / Bonus
  • Experience marketing to public sector / government clients (federal, state, local, or education).
  • Familiarity with government procurement processes, FedRAMP, or other public sector compliance frameworks.
  • Prior experience at a SaaS or enterprise software company.
  • Experience taking a company through a growth stage, Series B or beyond, or a significant scaling event.

The Benefits of Building with Us
We offer competitive salaries and meaningful equity. We believe everyone on the team should have a stake in what we're building. Benefits vary by region to make sure you're covered in the ways that matter most. In the US, that includes health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, plus a 401(k) and flexible spending accounts.
Regardless of where you live, everyone at Ditto can utilize flexible time off. And while we work remotely, our Atlanta office is always open if you ever want a place to work or meet up with teammates.
Apply Anyway
At Ditto, we know game-changers don't always come wrapped in a "perfect" resume. Years of experience? Every single bullet point checked? Meh. That's not what drives us.
What does matter?
  • Grit.
  • Curiosity.
  • Adaptability.
  • And a genuine spark for what we're building.

So if you're fired up about our mission but not sure you tick every box - hit that apply button anyway. Use your application to show us how you'll make an impact here.
We're always on the lookout for exceptional humans who want to grow, stretch, and build something meaningful with us.

We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristics.
