Job description
The Carrier Management Coordinator supports BRP's finished goods distribution strategy by overseeing shipments from various shipping points to North American dealers and internal clients. The role focuses on selecting optimal carriers, ensuring ontime performance, coordinating urgent and special shipments, and maintaining cost efficiency.
This position is central to BRP's logistics transformation, helping implement new transportation strategies, optimize operations, and collaborate across multiple teams to support largescale initiatives.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Load & Shipment Management
Coordinate shipments of finished goods from multiple shipping points.
Tender loads to suitable carriers based on cost, capacity, and service level, adjusting strategies according to market conditions.
Track shipments to ensure timely pickup and delivery and meet performance standards.
Manage urgent shipments for highdemand or retailmarket vehicles.
Participate in coordinating vehicle shipments for timesensitive special events (e.g., boat shows, sales meetings, marketing events).
Monitor logistics spending against financial targets.
Carrier Relations & Performance
Maintain strong communication with carriers using appropriate channels (system, email, phone).
Build longterm partnerships to secure reliable capacity and service.
Review key performance metrics and escalate performance issues or capacity shortages when needed.
Internal Client & CrossFunctional Collaboration
Coordinate shipments requested by internal clients.
Work closely with transportation planners, sourcing teams, crossborder partners, distribution centers, and Customer Service to resolve issues and align on capacity needs.
Handle delicate logistical situations and communicate urgent priorities effectively.
Ensure operations meet compliance requirements.
Develop and recommend optimization methods for transportation processes.
Support the team with administrative and clerical tasks when required.
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, TMS platforms, and logistics software (e.g., SAP S/4 TM).
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
Proficiency in French and English to collaborate with our partners outside of Quebec.
Strong analytical abilities and performance evaluation skills.
Excellent problemsolving, communication, negotiation, and persuasion.
Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism.
Innovative mindset, autonomy, and adaptability under pressure.
Understanding of transportation regulations and carrier compliance.
