This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that our mental health counselors can work effectively from the comfort of their own space. • Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques. For instance, you might facilitate cognitive behavioral therapy sessions with clients experiencing anxiety or depression.
• Perform comprehensive assessments to understand clients’ mental health needs and create tailored treatment plans that promote favorable outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and medical professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to client care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of client interactions, treatment interventions, and progress notes, contributing to effective case management.
• Engage in ongoing education and training to remain current with advancements and research within the field of mental health, thereby enhancing service delivery.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with The Wellness Affinity, you will primarily serve a diverse clientele, including adults and families from various cultural backgrounds. You will have the opportunity to address a wide range of mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges, with a focus on fostering resilience and empowerment.

• A Master’s degree or higher in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
• Valid and active state licensure as either an LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or equivalent designation to practice in California.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting diverse populations and addressing a broad spectrum of mental health concerns.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport swiftly with clients and collaboratively with team members.
• Proficient in working autonomously while also contributing to a cohesive team dynamic.

• Experience using specific therapeutic modalities such as EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
• Previous involvement with community outreach programs or initiatives that enhance mental health awareness.
• A background in crisis intervention and conflict resolution within a therapeutic context.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling best practices.
