This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while primarily serving clients through virtual platforms. Our practice emphasizes a healthy work-life balance, with scheduled working hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. • Conduct thorough assessments to measure the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms in clients with mood disorders.
• Collaboratively create individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each client’s unique needs, goals, and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate positive client outcomes.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to encourage active participation in the healing process.
• Continuously monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary, ensuring alignment with their evolving needs.
• Coordinate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure clients receive comprehensive and integrated care.
• Keep informed of the latest developments in mood disorder treatment to integrate new findings into therapeutic practices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering strictly to legal and ethical guidelines regarding documentation and client confidentiality.
• Attend case consultations and team meetings, engage in professional development opportunities, and contribute to conferences focused on best practices in mental health care.
• Advocate effectively for clients, striving to reduce the stigma associated with mood disorders and ensuring their mental health needs are met.

This role primarily focuses on clients facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. The diverse client base requires a mental health counselor who can implement culturally sensitive approaches and understand the unique challenges faced by individuals from various backgrounds. Our team works diligently to provide an inclusive environment where all clients feel valued and understood.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid professional license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment methodologies for mood disorders, specifically Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology to facilitate effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.
• A proven history of achieving successful outcomes in the treatment of mood disorders.
• Exceptional communication skills, along with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients from diverse demographic backgrounds.

• Demonstrated experience in a clinical setting working with adults facing mood disorders.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy practices.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing education and professional development specific to evolving mental health needs and treatment modalities.

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
