We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer (QE) to join our Amazon Connect digital transformation team. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and reliability of our next-generation contact center solutions as we migrate digital channel LOBs from Genesys and LivePerson to AWS/Amazon Connect.


You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for Amazon Connect digital channels (chat, SMS, email, IVR) 
  • Validate customer and agent experiences across digital flows, routing logic, chatbot interactions, and asynchronous messaging 
  • Perform API testing using tools like Postman to validate integrations between Amazon Connect and third-party systems 
  • Identify automation opportunities and optimize test suites for scalability and reusability 
  • Create and manage test cases, plans, and suites using QTest or equivalent tools 
  • Track defects, analyze test results, and report key quality metrics to stakeholders 
  • Ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements, compliance standards, and best practices 
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline 
  • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, providing insights on quality risks and improvements 
  • Stay current with testing trends and tools to continuously enhance automation strategies

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on contact center and digital channels (chat, email, SMS) 
  • 1 years of hands-on experience with AWS/Amazon Connect 
  • 1 years of experience with Playwright for test automation 
  • Solid knowledge of API testing (RESTful APIs) and automation 
  • Familiarity with test management tools like QTest and defect tracking systems 
  • Proven ability to analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate effectively in an Agile environment 
  • Driver's License and access to reliable transportation


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in software testing, quality assurance, or AWS cloud services
  • Experience with additional automation frameworks and scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript) 
  • Knowledge of AWS services related to contact center solutions (e.g., Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Lex)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
