About MasterControl:
MasterControl Inc. is a leading provider of cloud-based quality and compliance software for life sciences and other regulated industries. Our mission is the same as that of our customers to bring life-changing products to more people sooner. The MasterControl Platform helps organizations digitize, automate and connect quality and compliance processes across the regulated product development life cycle. Over 1,000 companies worldwide rely on MasterControl solutions to achieve new levels of operational excellence across product development, clinical trials, regulatory affairs, quality management, supply chain, manufacturing and postmarket surveillance. SUMMARY
The Marketing Ops AI Engineer is a critical, AI-forward role within MasterControl, responsible for driving systems and automation excellence across all marketing functions. If you are a strategic, results-driven engineer with a passion for marketing innovation, AI adoption, and operational efficiency - and have the experience and skills to architect our GTM systems while championing the use of AI to elevate how our marketing organization works - we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, build, and maintain AI-powered automation and intelligent workflows across the marketing technology stack, including Marketo, Salesforce, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, Domo, and adjacent platforms, to streamline lead lifecycle management, scoring, routing, and nurture operations.
  • Engineer scalable data pipelines and API integrations that connect marketing, sales, and revenue systems, ensuring clean, reliable, and real-time data flow across the integrated marketing and sales funnel - from Suspect through Won.
  • Develop and operationalize predictive and rules-based scoring models that leverage AI to refine demographic (explicit) and engagement (implicit) scoring, buying group detection, and account-based qualification (MQA) logic, continuously improving MQL quality and funnel conversion.
  • Build and deploy LLM-powered workflows and AI agents - including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and tool orchestration - to automate content classification, lead research, data enrichment, anomaly detection, and other repeatable marketing operations tasks.
  • Implement intelligent routing, SLA monitoring, and automated alerting across the lead lifecycle, leveraging AI-assisted diagnostics to accelerate root cause analysis and proactively surface issues in lead creation, scoring, and progression systems.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Project Management Office and cross-functional stakeholders to translate the Marketing AI Roadmap into engineered solutions, piloting and integrating AI-native and AI-enhanced tools into existing marketing workflows with measurable adoption and impact.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and best practice guides for AI and automation solutions, leveraging AI tools to accelerate content development while ensuring accuracy through thorough review and validation.
  • Ensure all AI-driven solutions adhere to data privacy, consent, and compliance standards - including OneTrust and subscription management governance - applying responsible AI practices and diligent review of AI-generated outputs.

PREFERRED SKILLS
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent working experience.
  • 6-8 years hands-on experience with marketing, sales or revenue operations, or a technical GTM role with ownership of systems architecture or AI/ML-driven solutions.
  • Experience with AI and automation platforms relevant to marketing operations, including agentic AI tools, workflow automation, and emerging AI capabilities across the martech landscape
  • Deep expertise in data models, automation, integrations, and governance.
  • Strong project management, process improvement, and communication skills, verbally and written with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate ambiguous requirements into engineered solutions.
  • Self-directed problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with Marketo, ZoomInfo + Ringlead, and/or Salesforce is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Ability to operate a computer and work at a desk for extended periods.
  • Occasional travel for business purposes may be required for events, conferences, or client meetings.
