This is a remote position, allowing you to deliver therapeutic services from the comfort of your own space while contributing to a collaborative team atmosphere. • Conduct crisis intervention services for clients experiencing acute distress, utilizing proven therapeutic techniques.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that address each client’s unique challenges related to addiction.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can share experiences and strategies for coping.
• Educate clients and their families on the nature of addiction, its effects, and effective management strategies to promote recovery.
• Assess the progress of clients regularly through structured evaluations, adjusting treatment plans to accommodate their evolving needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
• Participate in case management duties and may engage in community outreach to connect clients with additional resources available in Salinas.
• Utilize KIPU software and electronic health records for documentation and management of client progress.

Your work will primarily focus on individuals grappling with addiction, ranging from substance abuse disorders to behavioral addictions. Clients may also present with co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related issues. You will help them navigate their recovery journey, providing empathetic support and evidence-based interventions tailored to their needs.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline.
• Must hold an active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively.
• Proven ability to establish rapport and trust with clients, fostering a therapeutic alliance critical for successful treatment.
• Leadership abilities and strong skills in managing group dynamics effectively.

• Previous experience in mental health counseling with a focus on addiction recovery.
• Familiarity with community mental health resources to assist clients in connecting with additional support.
• Experience utilizing KIPU or other electronic health record software for client management preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and integration of evidence-based practices in treatment.
