As a Mental Health Counselor, your core responsibilities will include:

• Conducting compassionate and ethical individual counseling sessions via secure video chat platforms.
• Implementing evidence-based, solution-focused therapeutic techniques tailored to meet each client's needs.
• Developing, monitoring, and adjusting individualized treatment plans based on client assessments and feedback.
• Facilitating clients’ understanding of their emotions and interpersonal relationships through guided conversation.
• Tracking client progress and adapting strategies to promote resilience and coping skills effectively.

You will work primarily with stable, low-acuity adults who face diverse mental health challenges. Our goal is to empower individuals by equipping them with the skills necessary for improving their mental health and overall quality of life. Your role will be crucial in helping clients navigate their psychological hurdles and in promoting sustained mental wellness.

• A Master's degree in a counseling-related discipline such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current, state-issued mental health counseling license allowing for independent practice. License types include:
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Licensed Psychologist (PsyD)
• No provisional or limited licenses; all candidates must be free from disciplinary actions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential.
• Proficiency in using computer-based systems, with reliable technology that includes a webcam and audio capabilities for virtual sessions.
• Access to a dependable internet connection to facilitate uninterrupted counseling services.

Ideal candidates will have experience in therapeutic settings, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients. Familiarity with telehealth systems and electronic health records would enhance your capacity to provide timely and effective services. Experience with a variety of treatment modalities, including CBT and DBT, is considered an advantage, as is previous work within community mental health settings.
