Job description

Position: Audio Engineer
Job Summary:
Position: Audio Engineer - Full Time/Exempt
Reports to: Audio Manager
Summary: The Audio Engineer provides operational support for the planning, coordination, and execution of audio elements for Insignia Events. Working closely with the production team, this role helps ensure high-quality audio experiences across a diverse portfolio of events, including Arizona Cardinals home games, the Fiesta Bowl, other major sporting events, and a wide range of premier live events, programs, and guest experiences.
The ideal candidate has experience supporting live sports and event production, a strong understanding of the operational demands of live events, and a solid working knowledge of professional audio systems and equipment. This individual is a collaborative team player who can adapt to changing event needs while helping deliver exceptional event experiences
Primary Job Duties:
  • Ability to understand, operate, trouble shoot, various audio systems and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks of Insignia Events audio systems
  • Understand fiber optic cabling, connector types, and signal flow on a large scale
  • Ability to mix audio with a multitude of source and destination types
  • Monitor inventory, determine equipment needs, assist with equipment orders as necessary, schedule repair work and manage shipment and return of items in need of repair
  • Assist with researching new technologies and equipment, recommend equipment purchases for upgrades to the audio systems and inventory
  • Assist with the operation of stadium audio systems during football games and other live events
  • Communicate with event coordinators and clients during all phases of production to ensure client needs are met in a timely fashion
  • Attend pre-production and post event meetings with event coordinators and clients
  • Supply events costs to event coordinators for preparation of final billing
  • Coordinate with Stadium partners and vendors as needed during Audio projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of Audio related work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a large-volume, venue facility
  • Excellent leadership, people management, problem solving and communication skills
  • Must be creative, innovative, passionate, results-oriented with a commitment to excellence.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office365 Software
  • Certified and/or proficient in the following:
    • L'Acoustics Soundvision
    • L'Acoustics Network Manager
    • QSC Q-sys Designer
    • Digico consoles
    • Yamaha consoles
    • Audinate Dante
    • Optocore Routing
    • Riedel Intercom & Bolero
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot in a high stress, fast-paced, live production work environment
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in related field
  • Flexibility with work varying schedules including evenings, holidays, and weekends
