• Conduct ethical, empathetic mental health counseling sessions with clients via video chat, maximizing the use of technology to provide access to care.
• Utilize solution-focused and evidence-based treatment modalities to address individual client needs, ensuring that each session is tailored for effectiveness.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that outline specific therapeutic goals, taking into account each client’s unique circumstances and challenges.
• Facilitate client insight into emotions, relationships, and personal experiences, fostering a deeper understanding that supports growth and healing.
• Regularly monitor client progress against treatment plans, adapting as necessary to enhance coping strategies and overall mental health outcomes.

As a Mental Health Counselor at I&S Talk Therapy, you will primarily work with stable, low-acuity adult clients who seek assistance with a range of mental health concerns. The client population may include individuals dealing with anxiety, mild depression, relationship issues, and other manageable conditions requiring guidance and support. Your role will be instrumental in helping these clients develop coping skills and improve their quality of life.

• A master’s degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or another counseling-related field.
• Current, state-issued mental health counseling license (LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or PsyD), allowing you to practice independently without supervision.
• No limited or provisional licenses; candidates must be in good standing with no disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities paired with a natural empathetic demeanor.
• Strong technological skills, including proficiency in virtual counseling platforms and reliance on a stable internet connection.
• Access to a computer equipped with webcam and audio capabilities for effective video sessions.

• Experience working with diverse client populations and an understanding of cultural sensitivities in therapy.
• Familiarity with solution-focused therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly build rapport with clients and foster a safe, trusting therapeutic environment.
