 Shape Learning Experiences That Make an Impact 


LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative Instructional Designer to join our team in Gainesville, FL. This role is responsible for designing engaging learning experiences that support employee development and organizational initiatives across multiple departments. Hybrid remote work may be available for this position. 


What You'll Do
  • Design and develop instructional materials using instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-paced learning methods 
  • Create engaging learning interventions that support project goals and improve performance outcomes 
  • Incorporate adult learning principles, best practices, and real-world scenarios into training materials 
  • Write clear, concise, and effective instructional content for a variety of audiences 
  • Develop and submit course deliverables including storyboards, design documents, instructor guides, and participant materials 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and develop learning solutions 
  • Ensure all learning materials meet project expectations and quality standards 
  • Support innovative and creative approaches to employee learning and development
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Psychology, English, Sociology, or related field required 
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment 
  • Experience using instructional design software and learning tools preferred 
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred 
  • Two years of instructional design and development experience preferred 
  • Two years of teaching or training experience preferred

LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. We are committed to meeting the blood supply needs of hospitals and their patients by providing the highest quality blood components and services. With more than 45 donor centers, 55 bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month, our LifeSouth team is dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family is in need.
