Analyst, Traffic Quality

Broomfield, CO

Hybrid Schedule (M/F remote, T/W/TH in-office)

At Magnite, we cultivate an environment of continuous growth and collaboration. Our work impacts what millions of people read, watch, and buy, and we're looking for people to help us tackle that responsibility with creativity and focus. Magnite (NASDAQ: MGNI) is the world's largest independent sell-side advertising platform. Publishers use our technology to monetize their content across all screens and formats, including CTV / streaming, online video, display, and audio. Our tech fuels billions of transactions per day!

About this team:

As a core pillar of our marketplace quality efforts, the Traffic Quality team is dedicated to safeguarding the trillions of transactions that flow through Magnite platforms every day. Our mission is to ensure that our advertisers receive the authentic engagement and maximum value they pay for, while proactively identifying and removing nefarious actors within the online advertising ecosystem. By leveraging advanced data analytics and detection strategies, we maintain a transparent, secure, and trustworthy environment that protects our partners and upholds the highest standards of digital advertising.

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor and analyze various data sets to identify anomalies, patterns of invalid traffic (IVT), and sophisticated ad fraud schemes.

  • Develop and refine detection models, heuristics, and automated rules to proactively catch and mitigate fraudulent behavior before it impacts advertisers.

  • Evaluate traffic ecosystem health through continuous auditing, ensuring all platform transactions meet quality and compliance standards.

  • Conduct deep-dive investigations into suspicious actors to uncover and dismantle malicious operations.

  • Resolve complex traffic quality escalations and advertiser disputes, providing clear, data-driven justifications to maintain partner trust.

  • Educate key stakeholders on inventory guidelines, resources, and optimization

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to design, test, and implement robust, scalable anti-fraud features and infrastructure.

  • Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Uphold industry standards and best practices (such as MRC guidelines or TAG compliance) to ensure the platform remains a premier, trusted marketplace.

We're looking for someone with:

  • BA/BS required

  • 2+ years of experience in an Internet environment; 2 years of ad-tech experience a plus

  • Prior experience in client-facing roles

  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel, with the ability to manipulate large datasets, build models, and utilize advanced functions (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc) to uncover trends.

  • Experience writing and executing SQL queries to extract and analyze data from relational databases; highly preferred.

  • A solid understanding of basic internet protocols and web technologies, including how IP addresses work, user agent strings, and how to perform basic network call tracing (e.g., using browser developer tools or inspecting network logs).

  • A natural problem-solver who doesn't just look at data points, but connects the dots to understand the bigger picture and spot subtle anomalies.

  • A deep desire to dig beneath the surface, ask the right questions, and figure out the "why" behind suspicious patterns.

  • The ability to articulate your findings clearly and confidently defend your data-driven ideas and conclusions when challenged.

  • A fast learner who thrives in a dynamic environment and can quickly adapt to the rapidly evolving tactics of nefarious actors.

  • A strong ethical compass and a genuine desire to "do the right thing" to protect our advertisers, partners, and the integrity of our platform.

In Colorado, the base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000.
Actual compensation will be determined based on location, experience, skills, and internal equity.

This role is also eligible for:

  • Annual performance-based bonus

  • Equity (NASDAQ: MGNI)

  • Comprehensive benefits package

During the interview process, candidates will receive more specific information about the salary range applicable to their experience and location.

Perks and Benefits:

  • Comprehensive Healthcare Coverage from Day One

  • Generous Time Off

  • Holiday Breaks and Quarterly Wellness Days

  • Equity and Employee Stock Purchase Plan

  • Family-Focused Benefits and Parental Leave

  • 401k Retirement Savings Plan with Employer Match

Career Growth:

We support internal mobility, skill development, and leadership pathways through structured career frameworks and learning programs.

Our hybrid schedule includes two remote workdays (Monday and Friday) and three in-office days (Tuesday through Thursday), where employees can take advantage of catered lunches, beverages, snacks, training opportunities, and engaging office events that enhance the work experience. In addition, we support our team through meaningful benefits and programs, including community service and volunteer opportunities, company-matched charitable contributions, access to mental health resources, structured career development initiatives and growth frameworks, culture and inclusion programs, and our Bonusly peer-to-peer recognition platform.
