A Remote Attorney is a licensed legal professional who provides legal services, advice, and representation while working outside a traditional office setting. They may work for law firms, corporations, government agencies, or as independent contractors. Remote Attorneys handle tasks such as legal research, drafting contracts, litigation support, and client consultations using digital communication tools. This role allows for flexibility in work location while maintaining the same ethical and professional responsibilities as in-office attorneys.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote attorney?

A Remote Attorney must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, active bar membership, strong legal research skills, and proficiency in drafting and analyzing legal documents. Familiarity with legal practice management software, secure document sharing platforms, and e-filing systems is often essential. With intentional strategies and digital tools, remote attorneys can remain highly productive and deliver excellent service despite physical distance.

Why work here?

  • Lead sophisticated real estate transactions supporting renewable energy and data center development.
  • Immediate client responsibility with the opportunity to own transactions from start to finish.
  • Collaborative team environment supported by experienced attorneys and legal professionals.

  • Exceptional compensation model with significant upside based on productivity.
  • Clear path toward increased responsibility and long-term economic participation.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits programs

What you'll do:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate leases, easements, option agreements, purchase agreements, and other project documents.
  • Advise clients on development, construction, financing, acquisitions, and operational matters.
  • Lead the real estate aspects of renewable energy and infrastructure transactions, including project financings and M&A transactions.
  • Manage title and survey review, including developing curative strategies focused on financeability.
  • Review ownership interests, analyze title issues, and oversee preparation of legal descriptions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and counterparties while independently managing complex transactions.
  • Exercise sound legal and business judgment in fast-paced, evolving transactions involving multiple stakeholders.

What you will need:

  • Juris Doctor degree and active bar admission.
  • 7+ years of real estate legal experience.
  • Significant experience supporting renewable energy real estate transactions.
  • Strong understanding of real estate contracts and the commercial issues underlying complex transactions.
  • Excellent drafting, writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to independently manage transactions and build strong client relationships.
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
