Civil Litigation Associate Attorney
Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our Civil Litigation Practice Group in Richmond, Virginia.

This position is designed for attorneys with zero (0) to four (4) years of substantive civil litigation experience, who are seeking to develop their litigation skills through meaningful client interaction, courtroom advocacy, legal research, written advocacy, and hands-on case management.

The Associate Attorney will manage assigned civil litigation matters, assist in the development of case strategy, represent clients in litigation proceedings, prepare legal documents, conduct legal research, communicate with clients and opposing parties, and collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Virginia State Bar in good standing, or eligibility for admission prior to employment
  • Reliable transportation to and from work and to off-site work locations.
  • High level of computer literacy and the ability to effectively utilize legal technology, digital communication platforms, document management systems, email, and Microsoft Office Suite and electronic filing systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience conducting legal research, analyzing legal issues, and drafting legal documents.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is **$90,000 to $118,000 annually**.

The firm has a quarterly metric-based bonus and annual discretionary bonuses for associate attorneys. Eligibility for the bonus programs is based on performance.
