What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote AT&T RF Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote AT&T RF Engineer, you need a strong background in wireless communications, RF engineering principles, and a degree in electrical or telecommunications engineering. Familiarity with RF design and analysis tools like Atoll, TEMS, and drive test equipment, as well as certifications such as CCNA or relevant AT&T credentials, are typically required. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and independent time management skills help remote engineers collaborate effectively and address network challenges. These skills ensure reliable network performance, efficient troubleshooting, and seamless integration of RF solutions in a distributed work environment.

What are some common challenges faced by Remote AT&T RF Engineers and how can they be addressed?

Remote AT&T RF Engineers often encounter challenges such as troubleshooting network issues without direct site access, coordinating with on-site teams, and ensuring effective communication across different time zones. To address these, engineers typically rely on advanced remote monitoring tools, clear documentation, and regular virtual meetings to stay aligned with local technicians and project managers. Building strong remote collaboration skills and being proactive in communication are key to successfully overcoming these obstacles and maintaining high network performance standards.

What is a Remote AT&T RF Engineer?

A Remote AT&T RF Engineer is a telecommunications professional who specializes in designing, optimizing, and maintaining radio frequency (RF) networks for AT&T, often working from a remote location. Their responsibilities include analyzing network performance, troubleshooting coverage issues, and implementing solutions to improve wireless signal quality and capacity. Job description

Role Type: Permanent

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer, Backend

Salary: $150,000-$200,000 + equity

Location: Remote

Your New Company

Join a fast-growing, product-driven technology company operating with a globally distributed team across North America, Europe, and beyond. The culture is built on customer centricity, urgency, curiosity, and ownership—where engineers are empowered to take initiative, solve real problems, and drive meaningful impact without friction. Teams move quickly, ship often, and continuously evolve core systems and new products.

Your New Role

As a Senior Software Engineer (Backend), you’ll design and build scalable backend systems that power a rapidly growing platform. This is a high-ownership role where you’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver impactful features end-to-end.

You’ll:

  • Build performant backend services using Node.js / NestJS
  • Develop reliable, scalable systems leveraging MongoDB, Postgres, and Redis
  • Own the full SDLC—from design to production and ongoing support
  • Contribute to shared libraries, tooling, and engineering best practices
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to solve real customer problems
  • Participate in on-call rotations (approx. 1 week/month) to support platform reliability
  • Work in a remote-first, async environment with global collaboration

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Proven experience building scalable backend systems in production environments
  • Strong hands-on development with TypeScript, Node.js (NestJS preferred) and exposure to React
  • Experience working with distributed systems, APIs, and databases (MongoDB, Postgres, Redis)
  • Solid understanding of testing strategies (integration, E2E, unit)
  • Experience deploying and operating applications in AWS (ECS, Terraform)
  • Comfortable owning systems end-to-end, including monitoring and debugging in production
  • Strong written communication skills—comfortable working in a fully remote, async team
  • Ability to thrive in low-structure, high-ownership environments

Nice to Have:

  • Startup or high-growth environment experience
  • Exposure to trunk-based development & CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience contributing to developer tooling (DevX)
  • First-principles thinker with strong problem decomposition skills

What You’ll Get in Return

  • Fully remote, globally distributed team with flexible working
  • High-impact role with ownership over critical platform systems
  • Opportunity to shape infrastructure and architecture at scale
  • Collaborative, low-ego engineering culture with strong autonomy
  • Exposure to modern tools, architectures, and product innovation

What You Need to Do Now

If you’re interested in building scalable platforms, owning systems end-to-end, and working in a high-performance remote environment, apply now or reach out directly to learn more.
