Job description

E-Laker Online Learning Facilitator
Job Description:

  • Monitor student participation, attendance, pacing, and progress within assigned online subject area courses.
  • Ensure students log in regularly, remain on track, and complete required coursework by deadlines.
  • Review platform dashboards, reports, and alerts to identify students needing support.
  • Provide organizational support, study skills coaching, and time-management assistance.
  • Communicate with students, families, counselors, and E-Laker Coordinator regarding progress concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with FERPA, data privacy, copyright, and district policies.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Complete all required training sessions throughout the year.
  • Attend monthly E-Laker staff meeting.
  • Maintain consistent communication and documentation practices.
  • Coordinate and communicate with students about district and state assessments.
  • Posted office hours for at least 2 hours per week on two separate weekdays.

Curriculum: 

  • Customize and align Subject's content-area coursework with appropriate DLHS pacing guides to ensure consistency, rigor, and alignment with district curriculum expectations.
  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of assigned curriculum (subject expertise).
  • Lock lessons as needed to support student progress and individualized learning pathways.
  • Exempt lessons within a course when they do not align with course objectives or are not applicable to the student's learning plan.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license through PELSB in appropriate content area.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with online learning platforms preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Ability to obtain Cross-Curricular Delivery Permission (CCDP) through PELSB.

Technology Responsibilities:

  • Use learning management system: Subject (Asynchronous).
  • Conduct live meetings through Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams.
  • Troubleshoot basic technology issues for students/families.
  • Maintain professional digital communication standards.
