Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, each facing unique mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and various addiction disorders. Your ability to empathize and relate to their experiences is crucial in helping them navigate their journey toward mental and emotional recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
  • A strong passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective case management.
  • Knowledge of the interconnectedness of physical and emotional health and the assessment and treatment of addiction disorders.
  • Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Comprehensive understanding of pharmacology and the impact of medications prescribed by medical specialists.

  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities, coupled with a genuine sympathetic nature, critical for building rapport with clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience with multidisciplinary treatment approaches and interventions.
  • Experience working in a community health clinic or similar setting, especially in a remote capacity.
  • Advanced training in specialized therapeutic modalities or certifications in areas such as trauma-informed care or cognitive-behavioral therapy.
