Build the Digital Backbone of the Power Grid

Are you a seasoned SCADA professional who thrives at the intersection of electrical systems, network modeling, and automation? Trissential is hiring a SCADA Network Modeler to join our client's utility-focused technology team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in how electrical distribution, substation, and transmission networks are visualized, validated, and automated-directly supporting grid reliability and modernization initiatives.

If you enjoy solving complex system challenges, working with ADMS/SCADA models, and collaborating across GIS, engineering, and operations teams, this is a high-impact opportunity built for you.

What's in It for You?

  • Meaningful Impact - Your work directly supports safe, reliable electrical distribution and grid modernization
  • Advanced Technology Exposure - Work hands-on with SCADA, ADMS, EcoStruxure, and GIS-integrated environments
  • Autonomy & Trust - Fully remote role with ownership over complex modeling and validation work
  • Collaboration - Partner with GIS, field, automation, and testing teams across the utility ecosystem

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and enhance SCADA network displays for distribution, substation, and transmission views
  • Complete SCADA mapping for electrical distribution devices including elbows, reclosers, switches, transformers, and feeders
  • Create, validate, and maintain internal views, one-line composite views, and distribution automation models
  • Analyze and validate auto-generated network and substation views
  • Import GIS data, troubleshoot data errors, and define cleanup scope for GIS teams
  • Support testing and commissioning of new devices, including point-to-point testing
  • Develop and manage symbols and symbol profiles within ADMS
  • Facilitate integration of additional data feeds into ADMS (load profiles, customer data, etc.)
  • Analyze, validate, and promote model changes into the ADMS network
  • Manage non-telemetered points including catalogs, tags, and notes
  • Provide clear issue reporting, documentation, and cross-team communication
  • Review and guide the work of less experienced team members

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

  • 8+ years of experience in SCADA, ADMS, or utility network modeling environments
  • Strong experience with electrical distribution systems and devices
  • Solid understanding of electrical terminology (voltage, frequency, feeders, protection, etc.)
  • Proven experience building and validating SCADA or ADMS network models
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across GIS and SCADA data
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating cross-functionally

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Hands-on experience with EcoStruxure ADMS
  • Utility or energy sector background (electric distribution or transmission)
  • Experience supporting distribution automation initiatives
  • Prior involvement in commissioning and field testing activities

Education & Certifications You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, GIS, MIS, Engineering, or a closely related discipline

What We Offer

At Trissential, we believe great work happens when talented people are supported, trusted, and rewarded. By joining our client's team, you'll work on mission-critical systems while enjoying flexibility and stability.

  • Competitive Compensation - $53-$63 per hour, depending on your skills, experience, and location. Final compensation is determined based on skill alignment, years of experience, and fair, market-based rates by geography.
  • Comprehensive Benefits for you and your dependents - Medical, dental, vision, free tele-health, HSA with company contribution, life and disability insurance, and 401k with matching
  • Paid Time Off - Paid time away from work
  • Fully Remote Work Model - Work from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Career Longevity & Stability - Long-term engagement supporting core utility infrastructure
  • Supportive, Expert-Led Teams - Collaborate with professionals who value quality and precision

Please note: This role is open only to candidates authorized to work in the United States.
