• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to understand the individual needs of clients.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, adapting techniques to meet client requirements.
• Track client progress meticulously, writing detailed clinical notes to document sessions and outcomes.
• Engage in weekly clinical supervision sessions to refine skills and gain insights from experienced clinicians.
• Participate in internal training workshops and case consultations to continuously enhance therapeutic techniques.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community organizations to create a holistic approach to client care.
• Maintain ethical standards and uphold confidentiality in all client interactions.

Your focus will primarily be on clients dealing with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our diverse client demographic allows you to work with individuals from various cultural backgrounds and age groups. Utilizing telehealth, you will provide accessible mental health services to those who may otherwise encounter barriers in receiving care, promoting inclusivity and comprehensive support within the community.

• A completed Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field is required.
• Current registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) in California.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
• A commitment to professional development and a desire to enhance clinical competencies.
• A proactive and client-focused attitude, demonstrating reliability and professionalism in all interactions.

• At least one year of prior experience in a mental health counseling position or similar setting.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and the ability to adapt therapeutic techniques for virtual environments.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Better Selves Therapy offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 65,000 to 85,000.
