Work Environment

This position will operate primarily from our Hospice Center, allowing counselors to engage with a diverse range of clients with varying needs. Our remote work model provides flexibility while maintaining a structured support system and encouraging ongoing professional development. Our hours of operation extend from Monday to Saturday, allowing for a dynamic work schedule that can accommodate various personal and professional commitments.

Key Responsibilities

The Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments for patients, families, and groups, determining their unique needs and creating responsive treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams through documentation, meetings, and patient rounds to ensure cohesive care delivery and patient management.
  • Utilizing clinical expertise to offer therapeutic interventions tailored to individual client circumstances, incorporating methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based modalities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in mental health settings.
