The Hallmark SFCC Engineering team is the organization within Hallmark that is responsible for designing, building and leading the implementation of scalable, high-performance B2C e-commerce technology solutions and defining technical strategies, ensuring SFCC best practices, managing third-party integrations, and optimizing platform performance. As a member of Hallmark SFCC Engineering team, you will partner with high functioning, high energy teams of cross-functional disciplines to deliver critical capabilities in Hallmark e-commerce and related integration areas.

WHAT YOUโ€™LL DO & HOW IT SHAPES OUR SUCCESS

The Lead Software Engineer โ€“ SFCC is responsible for designing and leading the implementation of scalable, high-performance eCommerce solutions on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform. This role provides technical leadership across development teams, defines architecture and engineering standards, and ensures alignment with business objectives. The position partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure, maintainable, and high-performing technical solutions. The role also drives best practices, mentors engineers, and ensures successful delivery across the full software development lifecycle.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Technical Leadership & Architecture: Define system architecture, lead development efforts, and ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions using SFCC frameworks and technologies.
  • Solution Design & Delivery: Translate business requirements into robust technical designs and lead implementation across the full lifecycle, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and standards.
  • Integration Management: Architect and oversee integrations between SFCC and enterprise systems (e.g., OMS, PIM, CRM, WMS) and third-party services, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Code Quality, Performance & Governance: Oversee CI/CD processes, enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure platform performance, scalability, and security.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to development teams, mentor engineers, and support Agile practices to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following are required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or 4 yearsโ€™ professional experience in one of these fields
  • At least 10 years of software development experience, including at least 5 years in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) B2C
  • Experience with and knowledge of SFCC architecture, SFRA, controllers, cartridges, ISML templates, and JavaScript-based development
  • Experience with API frameworks, integrations, and enterprise system connectivity
  • Experience leading technical design, development, and delivery of complex software solutions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud Digital Developer or Architect certification
  • Experience with headless commerce implementations (OCAPI/SCAPI)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
  • Experience working in Agile environments and large-scale enterprise implementations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring or leading development teams

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • The salary range for this role is $135,000- $160,000. Final compensation varies based on several factors.
