Information Technology - Software Engineer (Empower Systems)
Location: Orlando, FL, 32825 - United States
About the Role
Join our dynamic IT team as a Software Engineer specializing in Empower systems. Be at the forefront of implementing, configuring, and maintaining mission-critical earned value management (EVM) solutions. This role offers the chance to lead technical initiatives, enhance system functionality, and support a user community in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead Empower system administration, configuration, and optimization to support business objectives
- Manage and maintain earned value management systems (EVMS) for consistent, reliable project tracking
- Oversee EVM process execution and ensure compliance with reporting standards, including IPMDAR
- Integrate Cobra with Empower to streamline data flow and reporting accuracy
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Empower functionality, architecture, and best practices
- Deliver user training sessions and create comprehensive documentation to maximize system adoption
- Provide Tier 2/3 support, troubleshooting user issues and resolving technical challenges efficiently
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, plan, and implement system improvements
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience administering and configuring Empower systems
- Minimum 5 years' experience working with earned value management systems (EVMS)
- Minimum 3 years' experience with earned value management (EVM) processes
- Minimum 3 years' experience preparing and submitting IPMDAR reports
- In-depth knowledge of Empower architecture and advanced system capabilities
- Hands-on experience integrating Cobra with Empower
- Proven track record in user training and support for Empower platforms
- Strong grasp of cost, schedule, and earned value management principles
