APMs collaborate with cross-functional teams, conduct market research, analyze user feedback, and help define product requirements. They assist senior product managers in executing product strategies and ensuring successful launches. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in product management while working from anywhere. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential for success in this position.

How does a remote associate product manager typically collaborate with team members and stakeholders?

As a Remote Associate Product Manager, you will frequently collaborate with cross-functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing, and sales through virtual meetings, project management tools, and instant messaging platforms. Clear, proactive communication and regular check-ins are crucial for aligning priorities, sharing updates, and resolving challenges. You'll also gather feedback from stakeholders and users asynchronously using surveys, documentation, or collaborative platforms. This remote collaboration ensures product features are delivered efficiently and meet the needs of both the business and its customers. Adapting to a distributed work environment can take some adjustment, but it also offers flexibility and exposure to diverse perspectives within the organization.

These competencies enable effective cross-functional teamwork, clear product direction, and successful project delivery in a distributed work setting.

Role Type: Contractor
Location: Remote, US-Based

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Product Management Experts to contribute to a project focused on shaping the future of AI-driven product workflows. In this role, you will apply your product management expertise to create, evaluate, and benchmark high-quality PM deliverables that reflect the standards expected of experienced product leaders.

You will design realistic product scenarios and develop gold-standard deliverables across PRDs, launch memos, roadmap presentations, executive reviews, strategy documents, and cross-functional briefs. Your expertise will help establish benchmarks for how AI systems reason about product decisions, communicate strategy, and produce professional product documentation.

No prior AI experience is required—your product management expertise, strategic reasoning, and ability to produce executive-ready deliverables are what matter most.

Scope of Work
  • Design realistic product management scenarios covering product specifications, launch reviews, executive updates, strategy decisions, and cross-functional communications.
  • Create gold-standard PM deliverables that demonstrate senior-level clarity, structure, strategic thinking, and executive readiness.
  • Develop and evaluate PRDs, launch memos, roadmap decks, executive presentations, strategy briefs, and product documentation.
  • Review AI-generated product outputs for structure, prioritization logic, technical depth, strategic reasoning, and stakeholder clarity.
  • Develop detailed rubrics defining objective quality standards for product management communications and deliverables.
  • Distinguish between leadership-level work, strong professional drafts, and early-stage or incomplete outputs.
  • Identify and annotate common PM failure modes, including vague objectives, weak prioritization, missing tradeoffs, insufficient customer context, and unclear decision-making.
  • Evaluate whether product recommendations appropriately balance customer needs, business objectives, technical constraints, and organizational priorities.
  • Apply established product frameworks to assess strategy, opportunities, prioritization, and solution design.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure task designs reflect authentic, high-impact product management workflows.
Required Skills
  • Product Management Mastery
  • Deck Craft
  • Rubric Fidelity
  • Product Reasoning
  • Technical Writing
  • Product Strategy
  • PRD Development
  • Executive Communication
  • Prioritization
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Cross-Functional Communication
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional Product Management experience, preferably at a major technology company or organization operating at comparable scale.
  • Deep ownership of PRDs, product strategy documents, launch materials, roadmaps, executive presentations, and cross-functional briefs.
  • Strong command of product management frameworks such as Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD), Opportunity Solution Trees, prioritization frameworks, and related strategic methodologies.
  • Exceptional technical writing skills and native-level written English.
  • Ability to adapt communication for both technical teams and executive audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience with product strategy, cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making in high-growth or complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of customer discovery, product-market considerations, experimentation, roadmap planning, and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience establishing quality standards, reviewing PM deliverables, or mentoring product managers is a plus.
  • Master's degree, such as an MBA, MS, or related advanced degree, is preferred.
