Job Description:ย
As the Payments Product Manager, you will own the strategy and execution for Veracross's global payments capabilities. Based in the United States, you will lead payments product decisions across all regions we serve - including the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand - partnering with processors, banking partners, and internal teams to deliver fast, secure, and compliant payment experiences for schools and the families they serve.ย
This isย aย product management role designed for someone with at least two years of relevant experience in payments, fintech, or financial services who is ready to step into product ownership. You will be supported by senior product leaders and a cross-functional team as you grow into a global product owner.ย
Key Responsibilities:ย
- Support the strategy, planning, and execution of the Veracross global payments roadmap across the US, UK, ANZ, and other marketsย
- Conduct market research, customer discovery, and competitive analysis to inform payments product decisionsย
- Partner with payment processors, gateways, and banking partners to evaluate capabilities, negotiate features, and manage day-to-day relationshipsย
- Collaborate with UX, engineering, compliance, and GTM teams to deliver intuitive, secure, and scalable payment experiences for schools and familiesย
- Translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteriaย
- Help ensure compliance with PCI DSS, NACHA, card network rules, and regional payment regulations (e.g., PSD2/Strong Customer Authentication in the UK/EU, ATO/AusPayNetย standards in Australia)ย
- Analyze payment performance data - authorization rates, decline reasons, settlement timing, chargebacks, and fees - to identify opportunities for improvementย
- Support GTM, customer success, and support teams with training, documentation, and enablement on payments featuresย
- Track KPIs, report on product performance, and adapt the roadmap based on measurable impactย
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related fieldย
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in payments, fintech, financial services, or a closely related domain (e.g., associate product manager, payments operations, payments analyst, product analyst, or implementation specialist working withย paymentsย ย orย treasuryย products)ย
- Working knowledge of how online payments work end-to-end - including card processing, ACH/bank transfers, gateways, processors, and settlementย
- Familiarity with payments compliance and risk concepts such as PCI, fraud prevention, and chargebacksย
- Strong analytical mindset, comfortable working with data to inform product decisionsย
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across time zones and regionsย
- Curious, organized, and self-directed - eager to grow into a full product management role with global scopeย
- Authorized to work in the United Statesย
Bonus Pointsย
- Prior experience as an Associate Product Manager or Product Analyst on a payments or fintech productย
- Exposure to international/cross-border payments, multi-currency processing, or FXย
- Experience with payment platforms such as Stripe, Adyen, Worldpay,ย Payrocย or similarย

Salary at Veracross is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. The compensation range for this position is $115k to $130k (annualized USD) in addition to potential bonus.
