Associate Attorney - Remote
Associate Attorney - Foreclosure Litigation / Real Estate
Remote or Hybrid | Texas
Established multi-state legal services organization is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its growing Texas litigation and default servicing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with foreclosure litigation, creditors' rights, title review, or real estate law experience who is seeking a collaborative environment with flexibility and long-term growth potential.
The ideal candidate will be licensed in Texas, possess strong litigation and title analysis skills, and be comfortable independently managing both contested and uncontested matters throughout the foreclosure process. Additional licensure in GA, AL, or MS is highly preferred.
This position may be fully remote or hybrid depending on experience level and location. Some initial and periodic in-office training may be required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of contested and uncontested foreclosure, eviction, title, and related litigation matters
  • Appear in court and argue motions in connection with foreclosure, title disputes, HOA/COA matters, and related proceedings
  • Review title examinations and identify title defects and curative requirements
  • Analyze loan files, foreclosure documents, pleadings, and title reports
  • Draft motions, pleadings, discovery, legal correspondence, and legal opinions
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and resolution strategies
  • Ensure compliance with judicial and non-judicial foreclosure requirements
  • Coordinate with insurers, vendors, courts, opposing counsel, and internal teams
  • Maintain accurate case management updates and documentation
Qualifications
  • Active Texas Bar license in good standing required
  • Minimum of 2 years of attorney experience in foreclosure litigation, creditors' rights, title review/curative, or real estate law
  • Courtroom experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Texas foreclosure processes and title standards preferred
  • Additional licensure in GA, AL, or MS is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and case management abilities
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • Experience with BKFS, Tempo, or similar client systems preferred
