Associate Attorney (Signing Bonus) – 100% Remote

Summary:

Seeking a full-time Associate Attorney for a Social Security Disability division in a rapidly expanding Florida law firm.

Compensation:

Base pay of $85,000 to $95,000 per year (depending on experience) + signing bonus + origination bonus + discretionary annual bonus + incentive comp (bonus) + client retention comp

The Job:

  • We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, licensed attorney looking to join our team as an Associate.

  • Practice law as part of our team in the firm’s Social Security Disability hearing level. Prepare clients for administrative hearings and represent claimants before Administrative Law Judges.

  • Practice law as part of our team in the firm’s Social Security Disability appellate division. Handle federal court Social Security Disability appeals, including reviewing administrative records, researching applicable law, identifying reversible error, and drafting persuasive opening and reply briefs.

  • Requires 3+ years of hands-on experience (writing sample will be requested).

  • 100% remote work & flexible schedule.

  • All tools, software, and ongoing training will be provided to ensure success.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff

  • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action

  • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys

  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements

  • Resolve cases efficiently by using communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals


Qualifications:
  • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet client needs and grow our client base

  • Member in good standing of any State Bar

  • Has a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school

  • Successful completion of the bar exam

  • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
