Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to support the successful delivery of a major mining construction project. This role is primarily remote, with periodic travel to project sites and fabrication shops as required for inspections, quality reviews, contractor coordination, and project milestones.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing quality assurance processes throughout the engineering, construction, commissioning, and handover phases of the project. This role will work closely with contractors, engineering consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure quality standards, documentation requirements, and project specifications are met.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM projects and a strong background in construction quality management across civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and industrial infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and support the Project Quality Management Plan, including quality procedures, inspection records, and turnover documentation.
  • Coordinate contractor quality activities, review inspection and testing reports, and support compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Vendor Data and Document Requirements (VDDR), and turnover documentation.
  • Support quality oversight across civil infrastructure, heavy earthworks, mechanical systems, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and water management systems.
  • Coordinate inspections, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and quality hold points.
  • Support Non-Conformance Report (NCR) tracking, corrective actions, and resolution processes.
  • Assist with commissioning and handover activities, including punch list management and quality dossier completion.
  • Coordinate with third-party inspectors and collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, and operations teams.

Requirements

  • Experience managing quality across EPC/EPCM delivery models.
  • Regular interaction with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary construction projects, including:
    • Civil infrastructure
    • Bridge construction
    • Heavy earthworks
    • Mine infrastructure
    • High voltage electrical systems
    • Mechanical equipment installation
    • Water management systems
    • Process piping
    • Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) systems
