Intermediate or Senior Architectural Project Manager – Public Projects

Architecture, & Design Firm
Salary: $70,000–$100,000 + bonus, benefits

Remote - Anywhere in Canada

THE COMPANY

A well-established and highly regarded Architecture, Design & Planning firm is seeking an Intermediate or Senior Architectural Project Manager to join its growing team. The firm has a strong and varied project portfolio spanning public, institutional, and private-sector developments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced architectural professional looking to take on greater project responsibility within a collaborative and progressive practice.

THE ROLE

As an Intermediate or Senior Architectural Project Manager, you will play an integral role in the delivery of projects from design development through construction documentation and construction administration. Working alongside senior architects and project leaders, you will coordinate project teams, consultants, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure projects remain on track.

You will contribute to project planning, documentation, quality control, scheduling, and budget management while maintaining strong communication throughout the project lifecycle. You will also liaise with municipal authorities and assist with resolving technical and project-related issues as they arise.

WHAT'S REQUIRED

  • 7–12 years of relevant architectural experience, with a minimum of 3 to 4 years working in a Project Management role/capacity within Architecture on larger architecture projects
  • Experience delivering projects from design through construction
  • Exposure to larger public-sector or institutional projects strongly preferred - whether within the public sector/client side or in a consulting firm
  • Eligibility to obtain the required Security Clearance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Canadian building codes and municipal bylaws
  • Strong understanding of building technology, including wood-frame, steel, and concrete construction
  • Experience working with project financials, budgets, schedules and resource allocation on projects
  • PMP designation an asset, or other professional registration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate project teams and manage schedules, budgets/resource allocation, and project deliverables
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
