The compensation range for this job is:

$56,305.00 - $70,981.00POSITION SUMMARY

Project coordinator works directly with and reports to project managers and is responsible for leading and facilitating multiple, concurrent projects from concept development through construction and handover. With project managers, the project coordinator employs project management methods consistent with PMI standards and ensures all projects meet expected outcomes, comply with federal, state, and local codes. are completed on schedule and within budget. The project coordinator works directly with internal and external partners to plan and coordinate materials, equipment, and personnel to complete projects, and provides dedicated management and oversight of contractors.

Examples of Job Duties

  • Work effectively within the company's Project Management Office (or Engineering/Construction Department)

  • Support development and execution of project plans, budgets, schedules

  • Under supervision of Management, manage contractors and consultants; coordinate directly with agencies and property owners

  • Maintain and ensure complete documentation of projects, upload into management systems

  • Attend coordination and progress meetings. Lead meetings in the PM's absence

  • Advise project managers on all project-related matters

  • Provide administrative support to project managers and senior leadership as needed, including document control and internal communication.

Will draft and update project plans as directed by the project manager, lead meetings for issues, risks, change, and action items. Maintain project plans, provide project metrics, facilitate weekly update meetings, and create/update compliance and project documentation. Ensure timely and accurate communication with project staff throughout the life cycle of the project.

  • Project Documentation/Information Management - Will facilitate project meetings and capture minutes of decisions, issues, and action items. Will manage project documentation with the Microsoft Smartsheet including status reporting, meeting minutes, risks, issues, action items, and other communications.

  • Relationship Building - Ability to effectively build relationships with customers, community members and co-workers.

  • Technology Understanding and Expertise - Big picture view of telecom networks (Ethernet, IP, SONET, switching, wireless, microwave, satellite), the technologies, process and systems used to engineer, design, build and operate such networks. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education Required

Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Management, Business, Telecommunications, or related field is preferred. A combination of relevant work and/or education sufficient to perform the duties of the job may be substituted for the degree on a year for one-year basis.

Preferred: Industry specific certifications are highly valued and may contribute toward education. Certified Construction Management (CCM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications highly valued.

Experience Requried

A minimum of one (1) year project management experience including developing SOW's, BOM's and schedules, is required; experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred. Logistical and procurement experience is highly desirable.

Computer Skills

Strong hands-on experience MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Access and Outlook. Must be able to use Computer Aided Drafting products.
