Job Title: Clearance Specialist Location: Glendale, CA - Hybrid with Fridays remotePositions Type: Long-term Contract Compensation: $30-$35/hour commensurate to experience Trustpoint.One is pleased to be partnering with a globally recognized entertainment company in their search for a Clearance Specialist to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring onsite work Monday through Thursday in Glendale, California, with Friday remote flexibility. The position is expected to run for approximately one year with the potential to convert to a permanent role.
This is a highly process-driven position ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys analyzing documents and images, summarizing findings, coordinating across teams, and helping move projects through complex review and approval workflows. The ideal candidate will be organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
What You'll Do: - Serve as the primary point of contact for clearance requests involving a wide range of creative and marketing assets
- Partner closely with Business Affairs, Legal, Commercialization, and Operations teams to facilitate clearances across global territories
- Review and analyze submissions to determine whether legal or business clearance is required
- Conduct initial reviews using restriction charts and prior legal guidance, escalating questionable items as needed
- Track clearance requests, approvals, comments, and deadlines across multiple projects
- Analyze images, artwork, photography, marketing materials, and related documentation for potential legal or rights concerns
- Summarize findings and draft written work product for attorneys, legal teams, and business stakeholders
- Communicate legal comments, restrictions, and feedback to internal teams in a clear and user-friendly manner
- Lead and coordinate weekly Legal/Business meetings, including preparing agendas and distributing meeting notes
- Assist with rights management systems, databases, and related tracking processes
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements where possible
- Support review and management of collectibles, publishing materials, and related marketing assets
Types of Clearances Include: - Business Affairs clearances involving talent approvals or risk analysis
- Legal clearances related to copyright matters
- Intellectual property clearances involving third-party names, likenesses, and images
- Clearances connected to themed entertainment and related assets
Assets May Include: - Style guides
- Photography and artwork
- Posters and concept art
- Social media content and sweepstakes materials
- Publishing assets including books, magazines, and calendars
- Externally sourced artwork and photography collections
- Marketing and publicity materials
What We're Looking For: - Bachelor's degree required
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience reviewing documents, images, and supporting materials for accuracy and compliance
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to appropriately escalate issues
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to summarize and draft professional work product
- Experience working with databases, tracking systems, and process workflows
Preferred Qualifications: - Understanding of intellectual property, copyright, trademark, right of publicity, or clearance-related matters
- Prior law firm, in-house legal, contract administration, or Business Affairs experience
- Legal coursework or certification preferred
- Experience supporting entertainment, media, publishing, or consumer products organizations is a plus
