ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to work out of our Indianapolis office. The Senior Accountant, reporting to the Corporate Controller, supports all general ledger accounting and reporting functions. The primary responsibilities include monthly journal entries through the monthly financial statement close process, assisting in monthly financial reporting and other areas of general accounting. The Senior Accountant will supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash application employees. The Senior Accountant will assist with sales tax reporting, assist Corp. Controller with annual financial statement audit, and work cross functionally throughout the organization. The Senior Accountant will also be part of a team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes which is 6 days or less
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting work papers
• Manage a team of AR, AP and perform backup duties as needed
• Assist the Billing Manager with customer accounts, adjustments, and collections
• Assist with weekly AP check run
• Meet all processing and reporting deadlines
• Respond to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with external audits
• Assist Finance Team and others with integration of acquired companies
• Communicate with General Managers and Service Managers
• Assist with acquisition integration including AR and AP management
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Other duties and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• CPA is preferred but not required
• 3+ years experience in the accounting
• 2+ years experience managing accountants and the accounting and finance process
• 1+ years in a position equivalent to a Senior Accountant in an industry related role
• National or regional accounting firm audit experience is preferred but not required
• Experience in both the private and public accounting sectors is preferred but not required
• M amp;A finance integration experience is a plus but not required
• Experience working with a Private Equity (PE) owned company is preferred but not required

• Able to analyze, organize, summarize and articulate complex legal and financial information
• Able to read and interpret agreements, then implement the relevant provisions of these agreements
• Detailed, organized and communicative
• Understanding, yet persuasive and decisive when dealing with others in the organization
