Job description

The Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of company sales-related data in an ongoing effort to increase overall sales productivity. Additionally, the Sales Operations Analyst performs routine diagnostic analysis in order to identify opportunities for improvement with existing sales processes and practices. Primary and initial areas of focus: sales analysis. Secondary focus: sales productivity and sales performance analytics

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Lead and support territory design and alignment, ensuring optimal resource allocation and coverage.
  • Collaborate in the sales target-setting process within the Xactly tool, including validation, analysis, and alignment with business strategy.
  • Ensure data consistency and accuracy in territory and quota assignments within Xactly.
  • Provide analytical support for territory planning and quota setting, including scenario modeling and impact analysis.
  • Perform sales team critical metric calculation on the team and person level.
  • Perform productivity analytics throughout the annual performance cycle.
  • Prepare reports on Sales metrics that inform management for decisions on the team's performance.
  • Assist the Sales organization with making informed data-driven decisions to effectively manage the team.
  • Perform data analysis and derive insights that support keystrategy and decisions e.g. segmentation, resource deployment.
  • Review existing data processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Lead the development of reporting tools and templates aimed at improving sales management decision-making.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance. Economics, Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or an applicable degree.
  • Minimum 5+ years professional experience in a data analyst role, in sales finance, or a related role.
  • Experience working for a manufacturing company is helpful.
  • Proficient in data visualization tools: Tableau is helpful.
  • Familiarity with data analytics/programming tools: SQL, Snowflake is helpful.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work 4 days a week from our St Louis Park, MN HQ, and 1 day remote.

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:

$76,000.00 - $141,100.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
