Remote Assessment Development refers to the process of designing, creating, and evaluating educational or professional assessments that are administered online or from a distance, rather than in a traditional in-person setting. Professionals in this field use digital tools and platforms to develop tests, quizzes, surveys, and other evaluative materials that can be accessed remotely by learners or examinees. This role often involves collaborating with subject matter experts, ensuring assessments meet validity and reliability standards, and integrating technology to enhance accessibility and security. Remote assessment development is increasingly important as more organizations and institutions adopt online learning and remote work models.
