  • Design ductwork, hydronic piping, ventilation, and temperature control systems.
  • Prepare mechanical plans, specifications, schedules, and engineering calculations.
  • Coordinate designs with architects, electrical engineers, plumbing engineers, and contractors.
  • Review shop drawings, equipment submittals, RFIs, and construction documents.
  • Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction observations.
  • Ensure compliance with ASHRAE standards, IMC, IECC, local building codes, and client requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.

  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
  • Familiarity with Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP, or similar HVAC load calculation software.
  • Working knowledge of ASHRAE standards, energy codes, and mechanical codes.
  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Consulting engineering or MEP design firm experience.
  • Central plant design including chillers, boilers, and hydronic systems.
  • Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system design.
  • Building Automation Systems (BAS) integration.
  • Energy-efficient and sustainable HVAC design.
  • LEED accreditation is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $120,000–$150,000 annual salary, based on experience
