Job description

About Capacity:

We believe the arts are essential to a thriving society, and to the strength and vibrancy of every community. Capacity is the premier digital marketing consulting firm for arts and culture. Since 2008, we've worked with ambitious arts and cultural organizations to engage audiences, build community, and market smarter through close, personal partnerships. Our clients are our passion as much as our industry - we stand up for the organizations and people we serve and are committed to consulting each courageously. Each year, we also produce Boot Camp, the country's leading digital marketing conference for the arts.

We're looking for a Consultant to help lead sophisticated client relationships and elevate the impact we deliver across the arts and culture sector.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Consultant, you'll be a trusted advisor to some of the most ambitious organizations in arts and culture. You'll:

Shape long-term strategy for a portfolio of sophisticated client relationships
Develop strategies, identify KPIs, and make informed recommendations with client goals and objectives in mind.
Create, manage, and optimize digital marketing campaigns (Meta, Google Ads, etc)

Guide clients toward new opportunities with confidence and tact

Lead high-impact projects: custom consulting engagements, marketing audits, new business proposals

Build the kind of trust that makes you indispensable to your clients

Lead a small team of Analysts and Senior Analysts.

Beyond your portfolio, you'll help shape where Capacity goes next, leading internal initiatives, mentoring colleagues, and building your voice in the industry through case studies, speaking engagements, and Boot Camp, our annual conference for arts marketers.

Qualifications

Consultants are holistic arts marketers. We're most excited about candidates who bring:

4-6 years of experience in the field, including experience managing others.

A demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and navigate complex, evolving client situations with clarity and confidence

Strong conflict management skills and sound judgment in balancing client and internal priorities

A track record of driving innovation and identifying new opportunities for client growth

Comfort operating around senior leadership, both internally and with client stakeholders

Clear career ambition and a demonstrated interest in growing as a strategic advisor and consultant

Compensation:

The starting salary for this position is $74,750, plus potential bonus based on company performance.

Benefits

Beyond joining a team of curious, creative people who care deeply about the future of the arts, you'll enjoy a benefits package designed to support your well-being, growth, and work-life balance, including:

Time Off & Flexibility

Four weeks of paid vacation plus at least 14 paid holidays

A flexible holiday swap so you can honor the days that matter most to you

Minimum of 6 weeks fully paid, gender-neutral parental leave

Financial Well-Being

A company-matched 401(k) plan (100% match up to 4%, available immediately)

$80/month home office stipend

Pre-tax commuter benefits

Participation in our Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), allowing you to share in the success you help create

Health & Wellness

Competitive medical, dental, and vision plans - including options with $0 deductibles

Learning & Growth

Robust training and professional development opportunities

Comprehensive onboarding and hands-on training with all company systems

Weekly internal education events to keep your skills sharp and curiosity sparked
